About Tam Coc

Tam Coc is located in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province, nearly 100 km from the south of Hanoi. Tam Coc is dubbed as “Halong Bay inland” or “the second greatest cave of the south”. Located near to the scenic complex of Trang An, only 7 km from Ninh Binh city, you can easily travel to Tam Coc in the weekends.

Tam Coc means "three caves", including Ca cave, Hai cave and Ba cave. All three caves are made up of the Ngo Dong River that pierces the mountain.

Ca cave: is the largest and longest cave in Tam Coc's cave system, with a width of more than 20m at the cave entrance, more than 127m in length.

Hai cave: It is a small cave with a length of only half that of Ca cave about 60m and 1km from Ca cave in the downstream of Ngo Dong River.

Ba cave: Although it is the smallest cave, only 50m long, Ba cave is considered the most beautiful cave compared to the other two. Here, you imagine like a stone arch favored by nature, skillfully honed with sophisticated details, creating a unique and wonderful beauty for Ba cave.
